Yes — our evaluations are written to align with both Arkansas dyslexia law and federal IDEA criteria.
Reports are written by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (MS CCC-SLP) with advanced certification in Structured Literacy (C-SLDI).
While schools are not legally required to accept private evaluations, many do — especially when the report is comprehensive, clearly written, and backed by qualified credentials.
📌 VMA models language you can use to submit your report to the school team and request services or accommodations.
-
School screenings are brief and not diagnostic. They may flag risk but don’t determine why a child is struggling.
A full evaluation at Virtual Milestone Academy:
Pinpoints the root cause of reading and spelling difficulties
Measures key literacy skills (decoding, phonemic awareness, spelling, fluency, and comprehension)
Provides a written diagnosis (when appropriate) and a full plan for next steps
🧠 Our process goes far beyond “screening” — it gives you answers, clarity, and a real plan.
-
Yes — every VMA evaluation includes guidance on what your results mean for school services and how to use your report to advocate.
We offer:
Suggested school language for submitting the report
Written scripts or email templates
Optional parent coaching sessions or IEP prep
💼 Unlike some clinics that stop at testing, VMA supports families in getting real results at school.
-
